We have not always been known as West Coburg, originally the club played under the name of Christchurch Cricket Club.
Formed in 1903 and playing in the Essendon, Broadmeadows Churches Cricket Association the club went on to win 33 premierships.The club had 3 Senior sides in A, B & C Grades with the A grade team winning 18 premierships.
 Some of the milestones from those days were......

As you can see Christchurch was a very successful club. So begins our new history as West Coburg which began in 1984-85.
Entering 3 Senior sides  we won two premierships in the first season as West Coburg.
Since those early beginnings the club has expanded to fielding 4 Senior teams and 8 junior sides. Our current senior list boasts around 20 players who started their cricket careers here in our juniors. We also have numerous players who are still at or have played District Cricket at top level.
Some facts about us you may not know....

* We have won 11 Premierships ,
with our best season being 1990 / 91
when our B, C & D Grade sides won the flag.
* We have also won 9 Junior premierships as well, ranging from U12s through to U16s.
* Season 2004/2005 was our 20th year as West Coburg.

In the 2002 / 03  season we reinvented ourselves by changing our club logo to that of a REDBACK. The spider is known for its aggresivness and for being a danger to those it bites... this worked for the club as we also took on a more aggresive feel to the way we play and it ended up being successful with us winning two premierships for the season...
SO here we are, with a professional look with the emblem and coaching staff, THE REDBACKS can only get stronger...
